  Children's Fiction Winners

The Utah Children's Fiction Book Award was begun in 1980 to encourage the love of reading on the part of children and to introduce children (and the adults in their lives) to good books by outstanding authors. The original lists contained 20 nominated titles including both fiction and nonfiction books for children in grades 3-6. Today, the nominations list includes only fiction titles.

  Informational Winners

The Utah Children's Informational Book Award was launched by CLAU in 1986 as a separate book award program, the purpose being to promote outstanding titles in nonfiction and informational books for children in grades 3-6. The nominations list originally included 5-12 titles. Today, the list consists of 10 titles.
